The Ryan Aeronautical Apollo Playing Cards, personally owned by Neil Armstrong. There are 2 card types available - one features the LM landing on the moon. The other card features a lineup of Ryan Aeronautical’s product line leading up to their work on Project Apollo. This piece features one of 52 cards from one of the two available decks, sandwiched in premium-grade acrylic. Beside the card is a U.S. Mint Silver Proof Apollo 50th Anniversary Dollar in a custom acrylic capsule. The custom frame enclosing the card and coin measures approximately 5.5 x 5.5 x .5 inches. The front of the frame features a walnut surface, with a facsimile signature from the man himself in laser-engraved acrylic, embellished with gold foil. The rear of the frame is an acrylic panel containing a laser-engraved text describing the history of the card and other information. The Apollo Playing Cards will include a copy of the original certificate of authenticity from the Armstrong Family Auction, the source of these cards, as well as a certificate of authenticity from AstronArts.
